Murtagh Garners All-American Honors with 5th Place Finish at NCAA Championships

GRINNELL, Iowa -- Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) garnered All-American honors with a fifth place finish in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center on the campus of Grinnell College.

Murtagh posted a finals time of 8.10 seconds as he claimed his fourth straight track & field All-American accolade (two indoor, two outdoor). Murtagh recorded a season-best time of 8.03 seconds during Friday's preliminaries.

Last season, Murtagh placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the indoor championships. He also finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles at the outdoor championships in 2014 and seventh in 2015.
