BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the fourth straight week, Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Walpole, Massachusetts, Murtagh captured the meet title in the 110-meter hurdles at the George Davis Invitational this past weekend as he posted a season-best time of 14.43 seconds.

The Bears' four-time All-American (two indoor, two outdoor) currently ranks fourth in all of Division III in the hurdles.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 19th of Murtagh's impressive career including eight outdoor distinctions.

Murtagh currently holds the BSU outdoor record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.17) as well as the school indoor marks in both the 55-meter hurdles (7.69) and the 60-meter hurdles (7.96).

Next Saturday, the BSU outdoor track & field teams will be competing at the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships hosted by UMass Dartmouth.
