BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Walpole, Massachusetts, Murtagh placed first and set a new track record in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 14.68 seconds at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational. 

The Bears' four-time All-American (two indoor, two outdoor) currently ranks eighth in all of Division III in the event.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 17th of Murtagh's impressive career including six outdoor distinctions.

Murtagh currently holds the BSU outdoor record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.17) as well as the school indoor marks in both the 55-meter hurdles (7.69) and the 60-meter hurdles (7.96).

The season continues for the BSU outdoor track & field teams on Saturday as they travel to Westfield State University for the Jerry Gravel Classic.
