BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

A native of Walpole, Massachusetts, Murtagh captured top honors in the 110-meter hurdles this past weekend at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic with a season-best time of 14.86 seconds.

The four-time All-American (two indoor, two outdoor) currently ranks 12th in all of Division III in the event.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 16th of Murtagh's impressive career including five outdoor distinctions.

Murtagh currently holds BSU indoor marks in both the 55-meter hurdles (7.69) and the 60-meter hurdles (7.96) as well the school outdoor record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.17).

The season continues for the BSU outdoor track & field teams on Saturday as they travel to AIC for the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
