BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Joseph Keough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Co-Rookie of the Week.

Keough shares the weekly honor along with Esteafan Jack of Westfield State University.

Keough was the first to cross the finish line in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held this past weekend at UMass Dartmouth. The Walpole, Massachusetts product posted a season-best time of 9:57.81 to capture the MASCAC individual title in the event.

Keough will compete in the steeplechase this upcoming weekend at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Springfield College.
