Murtagh Captures 110 Hurdles Title at ECAC Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Senior Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) captured the 110-meter hurdles title to lead the Bridgewater State University men's outdoor track & field team during the second and final day of the 2016 ECAC Division III Championships hosted by Westfield State University.

Murtagh posted a finals time of 14.38 seconds to place first in the 110 hurdles and earn All-ECAC honors.

Fellow senior Andrew Couture (Dighton, Mass.) also ganered All-ECAC accolades for the Bears. Couture finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a finals time of 10.95 seconds. He also placed 13th in the 200-meter dash (22.25).

Sophomore Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.) recorded a time of 56.45 seconds to finish 22nd in the 400-meter hurdles.

The Bears tied for 26th in the team standings with 12 points. Rowan captured the team title with 90.5 points followed by MIT (58 pts.), Bates (40 pts.) and Oneonta State (40 pts.).
