Men's Outdoor Track & Field Places 12th at DIII New Englands

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Qualifying members of the Bridgewater State University men's track & field team competed during the second and final day of the 2016 Division III New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Springfield College.

Senior Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) captured the New England title in the 110-meter hurdles with a finals time of 14.45 seconds.

Senior Andrew Couture (Dighton, Mass.) garnered All-New England honors in both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Couture placed fourth in the 100 with a season-best time of 10.85 seconds, and finished seventh in the 200 with a season-best time of 22.27 seconds.

Senior Kevin Sawyer (Woburn, Mass.) and sophomore Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.) earned All-New England accolades in the 400-meter hurdles. Sawyer finished fourth with a season-best time of 55.17 seconds, while Kotleski placed eighth with a season-best time of 55.72 seconds.

Sophomore Cameron Williamson (Easton, Mass.) also captured All-New England status in the triple jump as he finished seventh with a season-best leap of 45 feet, 5.75 inches (13.86m).

The Bears placed 12th in the team standings with 23 points.
