Men's Track & Field Places 7th at Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bridgewater State University men's indoor track & field team placed seventh at the Tufts Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) captured the meet title in the 60-meter hurdles as he posted a finals time of 8.32 seconds.  Murtagh currently ranks eighth in all of Division III in the event.

Freshman Camerson Williamson (Easton, Mass.) placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 8.5 inches (13.32 meters). Williamson ranks 35th in Division III in the triple jump.

Junior Andrew Couture (Dighton, Mass.) posted a 60-meter dash preliminary time of 7.09 seconds, while freshman Colin Knapton (Mattapoisett, Mass.) placed sixth with a finals time of 7.16 seconds.

Freshman Darion Sadri (Northfield, Mass.) placed third in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, two inches (6.45 meters).

Senior Joshua Danner-Hicks (Haverhill, Mass.) finished seventh in the 200-meter dash (23.36), while classmate Chris Naughton (Braintree, Mass.) placed eighth in the 400-meter dash (52.76).

UMass Lowell won the meet title with 160 points followed by Stonehill College (145 pts.) and Tufts University (92 pts.) in the team standings.

The indoor season continues for the Bears next Saturday when they compete at the MIT Art Farnham Invitational.
