Men's Track & Field Competes at Tufts Stampede

MEDFORD, Mass. -- Freshman Hueston Brathwaite (Randolph, Mass.) placed first in the 200-meter dash and second in the 60-meter dash to lead the Bridgewater State University men's indoor track & field team at the Tufts Stampede on Saturday.

Brathwaite posted a time of 23.06 seconds to outpace the field in the 200. He also recorded a finals time of 7.15 second in the 60 to finish just 2/100 of a second off the winning mark. Brathwaite qualified for DIII New Englands in both events.

Senior Josh Goehring (Haverhill, Mass.) captured the meet title in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:21.82. Goehring qualified for both DIII New Englands and the ECAC Division III Championships in the 600.

Senior Christian Lavoie (Marion, Mass.) placed sixth in the shot put (44'4.75"), while freshman Brayden Hollowell (Nashua, N.H.) finished tenth in the event (41'9.25").

Next weekend, the BSU indoor track & field teams compete at the Tufts Invitational.
