BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Chris Jastrab has been selected as the Little East Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.

Jastrab was a perfect 3-0 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles competition during a 2-1 week for the Bears. The Chicago, Illinois product won in straight sets in all three of his second flight singles matches versus his opponents from Rhode Island College, Suffolk University and Salem State University. He also teamed with classmate Matt McGee for three wins at the top doubles flight.

In five matches this season, Jastrab is a perfect 5-0 in second flight singles play and 4-1 at top flight doubles.

In two seasons with the Bears, Jastrab is 9-4 in singles play competing exclusively at the second flight. He also boasts a 9-5 doubles record.

The BSU men's team is currently 3-2 on the season (1-1 LEC) as the Bears have already equaled their overall win total from a year ago. The Bears are off until Saturday afternoon when they travel to Western Connecticut State University for a one o'clock Little East match with the Colonials.
