Men's Tennis Falls to Wheaton, 9-0

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Wheaton College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory over Southeastern Massachusetts rival Bridgewater State University on Tuesday afternoon at the Rosen Memorial Courts in Bridgewater.

Junior Neall Oliver (Portland, Maine) led the way for visiting Wheaton as he posted a 6-3, 6-0 straight set win at first singles and teamed with senior Brian Krantz (Milford, Ct.) for a 8-2 top flight doubles victory.

Krantz added a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at number two singles for the Lyons who won all six singles matches and all three doubles flights.

Bridgewater State (2-1) will try to get back on the winning track tomorrow at 4:00 PM as the Bears host non-conference foe Roger Williams University.  Wheaton (3-4) will open New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon as the Lyons host Babson College at one.
