NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- Visiting Bridgewater State College swept the doubles matches and went on to defeat the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s men’s tennis team, 8-1, in a Little East Conference match at the UMass Dartmouth Athletic Complex on Tuesday.
For the Bears, junior Nicholas Armrose (Arlington, MA), sophomore Adam Laithy (North Smithfield, RI), junior Justin Lipomi (Lowell, MA), freshman Matt Mailhot (Oxford, MA) and sophomore Mike Zagame (Uxbridge, MA) were all double winners.
Freshman Mike Parker (Scituate, MA) was the Corsairs only winner on the day at number two singles.
Bridgewater State improved to 4-3 and 1-0 in the Little East Conference with the victory, while UMass Dartmouth fell to 4-2 and 0-2 in LEC play with the defeat. The Corsairs will return to action when they host Salem State on Saturday. BSC will travel to Suffolk on Thursday afternoon.
