Men's Swimming & Diving Drops 175-64 Decision to Division II Bentley

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team hosted a dual meet against Division II Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool.

The Bears, who placed first in four of the 13 events, dropped a 175-64 decision to the visiting Falcons.

Freshman Chris Anastasiades (Wakefield, Mass.) and seniors Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.), Sean Flaherty (North Andover, Mass.) and Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) each picked up individual event wins for the hosts.

Anastasiades captured top honors in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.68 seconds, while Santos was the first to touch the wall in the 100 freestyle as he posted a time of 49.92 seconds.

Flaherty placed first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.57 seconds.

Willis rounded out the Bears' individual event winners with a time of 1:00.33 in the 100 breaststroke.

The Bears (5-4) are off until Saturday, February 1st (2:00 PM) when they welcome Babson College to Moriarty Pool. Senior Day festivities will also be held as the Bears will honor nine student-athletes who will be competing in their final home meet.
