Men's Swimming & Diving Competes at Brandeis Tri-Meet

NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team competed at a tri-meet hosted by Brandeis University on Saturday afternoon at Balfour Natatorium on the Wheaton College campus.

The Bears' relay squad featuring seniors Sean Flaherty (North Andover, Mass.) and Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.), and freshmen Chris Anastasiades (Wakefield, Mass.) and Ben Wilkinson (Reading, England) capped off the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay. The foursome posted a time of 3:21.86.

Flaherty also captured top honors in the 50 backstroke with a time of 25.69 seconds.

Senior Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' event winners. Willis was the first to touch the wall in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 27.29 seconds.

In the team results, the Bears (5-3) dropped 175-116 decision to Keene State College and lost to Brandeis by a margin of 178-96. The host Judges earned a sweep of the tri-meet with a 181-109 victory over Keene.

In upcoming action, the Bears host Bentley University on Wednesday evening at six.
