KINGSTON, R.I. -- Sophomore Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) captured the individual title and set the school record in the 100 breaststroke to lead the Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team during day three of the 2018 NEISDA Championships on Saturday at the URI Tootell Aquatic Center.

Willis posted a finals time of 57.27 seconds in the 100 breaststroke as well as a preliminary time of 57.73 seconds as he broke his own previous BSU standard of 58.17 seconds set a year ago at the 2017 NEISDA Championships.

The Bears' foursome of junior Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.), Willis, sophomore Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.) and freshman Quinn McAlear (Norton, Mass.) garnered All-NEISDA honors and eclipsed the school record in the 200 medley relay as they placed second at the meet with a time of 1:35.34. They bettered the previous program mark of 1:35.96 set earlier this season at the BSU Invitational.

Rose also won the meet title in the 1,000 freestyle with time of 10:11.41, while sophomore Timucin Marino (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed second in the 1,000 (10:16.28) to earn All-NEISDA accolades.

Santos and McAlear tied for fourth in the 50 butterfly with a time of 23.75 seconds to pick up All-NEISDA honors.

Junior Alexander Belinsky (Norton, Mass.), sophomore Sean Flaherty (North Andover, Mass.) and junior Robert McDougall (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) rounded out the Bears' All-NEISDA performers on Saturday. Belinsky placed third in the one-meter diving competition (375.30 pts.), while Flaherty finished fourth in the 100 backstroke (54.94) and McDougall grabbed the eighth spot in the 50 butterfly (24.94).

The BSU men's squad is in second place in the team standings with 450 points after day three. Roger Williams University leads the way with 637.5 points, while UMass Dartmouth rounds out the top three with 444 points.

The four-day championship event wraps up on Sunday morning with the preliminary round getting underway at ten.
