Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Roger Williams, 168-72

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University men's swimming & diving team coasted to a 168-72 victory over visiting Bridgewater State University on Wednesday afternoon at the RWU Aquatics Center.

The Hawks, who placed first in 11 of 13 events, improve to 2-0 in dual meet competition on the season, while the Bears fall to 3-3.

BSU sophomore Alexander Belinsky (Norton, Mass.) captured top honors on the one-meter diving board as he posted a score of 210.37 points. Belinsky also placed second on the three-meter board with a score of 212.62 points.

Senior Richard Smith (Milford, Mass.) added a victory in the 200 breaststroke as he touched the wall in 2:13.13.

Junior Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) placed second in both the 200 freestyle (1:51.75) and the 200 backstroke (2:02.51), while sophomore Timucin Marino (East Greenwich, Mass.) finished second in the 200 butterfly (2:14.44).

In upcoming action, the BSU swimming & diving teams host Gordon College on Saturday afternoon at one.
