Dylon Willis Named NEISDA Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Dylon Willis has been selected as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Male Swimmer of the Week by the league's coaches.

Willis placed first in a pair of events against Division I Boston College on October 21st. The Attleboro, Massachusetts product captured top honors in both the 50 breaststroke (28.55) and the 100 breaststroke (1:03.08). 

Willis also swam a leg on the Bears' 200 medley relay along with juniors Max Medina and Richard Smith (Milford, Mass.), and sophomore Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.). The foursome posted a time of 1:41.44 to finish second in the event.

The BSU men's swimming and diving team will be back in the pool on Saturday when they travel to Regis College to take on the Pride. The meet is slated to get underway at 11:00 AM.
