BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Alexander Belinsky has been selected as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Men's Diver of the Week.

Belinsky captured top honors on both the one-meter and three-meter diving boards against Husson University and Regis College last weekend. The Norton, Massachusetts product posted a score of 198.50 points on the one-meter board and a personal-best score of 216.65 points on the three-meter to help lead the Bears to a tri-meet sweep of the Eagles and the Pride.

Belinsky, who is in his first season of diving, was competing in the three-meter event for only the third time this season. He has qualified on both boards for the upcoming NEISDA Division II/III Swimming & Diving Championships which will be held at the University of Rhode Island from February 17th to 19th.

Belinsky and the BSU men's swimming & diving team return to pool on Saturday afternoon when they entertain the Blazers of Elms College at one.
