Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Division II Bentley, 144-128

WALTHAM, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team competed against Division II Bentley University on Wednesday evening at the Dana Center Pool.

Host Bentley won the meet by a score of 144-128 as the Falcons wrapped up the dual meet portion of their schedule with a perfect 11-0 record. The visiting Bears fall to 3-7 with the setback.

The Bears' foursome of junior Richard Smith (Milford, Mass.), freshman Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.), sophomore Robert McDougall (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and freshman Bryceon Snowman (Pace, Fla.) opened the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay as they posted a time of 1:42.28.

Smith also captured top honors in the 100 individual medley (55.93) and placed second in both the 100 backstroke (54.75) and the 200 backstroke (2:02.49).

Willis added a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.39) and finished second in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.74).

Sophomore Jameson Rose (Somserset, Mass.) checked in with a second place showing in the 1,650 freestyle (17:42.55).

Rose, Snowman, junior Max Medina (Marion, Mass.) and freshman Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.) placed second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.52).

The Bears close out the dual meet portion of the schedule on Saturday as the Bears host a tri-meet with Husson University and Regis College.
