Men's Swimming & Diving Wins Seven Events at Goodrum Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team placed first in seven events at the non-scoring Louise Goodrum Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday.

Junior Richard Smith (Milford, Mass.) and freshman Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) paced the Bears with four event wins apiece. Smith placed first in both the 100 backstroke (54.69) and the 200 individual medley (2:04.39), while Willis grabbed top honors in the 50 breaststroke (28.88) and the 100 breaststroke (1:02.86).

Smith, Willis, sophomore Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) and freshman Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.) finished first in both the 200 medley relay (1:42.17) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.76).

Rose added a first place performance in the 100 butterfly (57.32).

Up next, the Bears host Wheaton College on Wednesday night at six o'clock.
