ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) and the Bears' 200 medley relay squad competed during day two of the 2016 ECAC Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy on Saturday.
Rose finished 41st overall and fifth among Division III swimmers in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.73 seconds. He was 6/10 of a second off his own school-record time of 53.12 seconds.
The Bears' 200 medley relay featuring Rose, classmate Robert McDougall (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), senior Eric Ford (Oakville, Conn.) and sophomore Max Medina (Marion, Mass.) posted a time of 1:41.14 to finish 20th overall and fifth among Division III competition.
The third and final day of the ECAC championship meet continues on Sunday with preliminaries getting underway at 10:00 AM. Rose will be competing in the 200 backstroke.
