Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Wheaton, 188-80

NORTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team dropped a 188-80 decision to Wheaton College on Wednesday night at the Balfour Natatorium.

Freshman Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) paced the Bears with three event wins. Rose placed first in the 50 backstroke (26.93) and was the first to touch the wall in the 100 backstroke (57.51). He also captured top honors in the 100 butterfly (56.82).

Sophomores Hunter Goodrich (Stoughton, Mass.) and Max Medina (Marion, Mass.) finished third in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle events, respectively, while freshman Robert McDougall (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) placed third in the 50 breaststroke (30.77).

BSU's relay squad of Goodrich, Medina and fellow sophomores Charles Anderson (Avon, Conn.) and Benjamin O'Connor (East Longmeadow, Mass.) finished third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:35.32).

The Bears (1-3) are back in the pool on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Clark University for a two o'clock meet with the Cougars.
