BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming and diving team dropped a close 114-111 decision to Regis College on Saturday afternoon at the Moriarty Pool in Bridgewater.
The Bears (0-2) were led by freshman Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) who won two individual events as well as a relay.
Rose captured top honors in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:07.77. He was also the first to touch the wall in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:07.63.
The BSU relay squad of Rose and sophomores Charles Anderson (Avon, Conn.), Hunter Goodrich (Stoughton, Mass.) and Max Medina (Marion, Mass.) placed first in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:29.15.
Junior Brian Sheehan (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) garnered first place points in both diving events. Sheehan recorded a score of 173.00 points on the one-meter board and 181.80 points on the three-meter.
In upcoming action, the Bears host UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday evening at six.
