Men's Swimming & Diving Falls to Brandeis, 157-97

WALTHAM, Mass. -- The visiting Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team dropped a 157-97 decision to Brandeis University on Friday evening.

The host Judges improve to 4-7 in dual meet competition, while the Bears slip to 1-7-1.

Senior Charlie MacDonald (Braintree, Mass.) led the visitors with a second place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:27.60) and a third place showing in the 50 backstroke (30.37).

Sophomore diver Brian Sheehan (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) placed second on the one-meter board with an 11-dive score of 347.85 points.

Senior Sean Bruno (Easton, Mass.) and freshman Charles Anderson (Avon, Conn.) rounded out the Bears top placewinners. Bruno posted the third best time in the 50 butterfly (26.85), while Anderson placed third in the 50 freestyle (24.02).

The Bears are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Keene State College to take on the Owls at one.
