Men's Swimming & Diving Races to 113-113 Tie at Regis

WESTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team finished in a 113-113 tie with Regis College on Saturday at the Regis Athletic Arena.

Freshman Andrew Hebert (Lincoln, R.I.) paced the Bears as he came up with a key victory in the 100 breastroke.  Hebert posted a time of 1:12.70 in what was the second to last event of the day.

The Bears' 200 freestyle relay squad consisting of seniors Sean Bruno (Easton, Mass.) and Andrew Green (Middleboro, Mass.) and freshmen Kyle Swardstrom (Brookline, Mass.) and Benjamin O'Connor (East Longmeadow, Mass.) secured the tie with a first place time of 1:36.65 in the final event of the afternoon.

Sophomore diver Brian Sheehan (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) posted an 11-dive score of 303.20 points to place first on the one-meter diving board.

On Tuesday night, the Bears travel to UMass Dartmouth to take on the Corsairs at six.
