Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats Regis, 114-96

WESTON, Mass. – Led by a pair of individual victories by freshman Zach Sarapas (Franklin, Mass.), the Bridgewater State University men's swimming and diving team posted a 114-96 win over host Regis College on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Bears improve to 1-1 in dual meet competition on the young season while the Pride also even their record at 1-1.

Sarapas captured the 1,000 freestyle event with a time of 11:56.72.  He was also the first touch the wall in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 5:46.95.

Sophomore diver David Elofson (Mansfield, Mass.) placed first on the one-meter board with a score of 116.00 points.

On Tuesday night, the Bears travel to UMass Dartmouth for a six o'clock meet with the Corsairs.
