Tully Posts Second All-NEISDA Performance

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. –, Senior Philip Tully (Cedar Grove, N.J.) posted his second All-NEISDA performance in as many days to lead the Bridgewater State University men's swim team at the third and final day of the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center.

Tully placed sixth in the 200 breaststroke with a finals time of 2:14.52 to garner All-NEISDA status which is awarded to the top eight placewinners in each individual event.  He also qualified for the ECAC Open Swimming Championships which are being held at the United State Naval Acacemy in Annapolis, Maryland from February 24 to 26.  On Saturday, Tully posted a time of 1:01.03 to finish seventh in the 100 breaststroke and to also qualify for the ECAC Championship meet in that event.

Tully also swam a leg on the Bears' 400 freestyle relay which finished tenth with a time of 3:29.97.  Joining him on the relay were sophomores Erick DalMolin (Springfield, Mass.), Gerard Ferdinand (Stoneham, Mass.) and Matt O'Brien (Whitman, Mass.).

Sophomore Charles MacDonald (Braintree, Mass.) added a 16th place showing in the 50 backstroke (29.71 seconds).

Bridgewater finished in 12th place in the men's team standings with 107.5 points.  Bentley University captured the team title with 885.5 points followed by Keene State College (875 pts.) and Roger Williams University (680.5 pts.).
