Tully Leads Men's Swimming at Day One of NEISDA Championships

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- Senior Philip Tully (Cedar Grove, N.J.) paced the Bridgewater State University men's swim team during day one action of the 2012 NEISDA Division II/III Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center on Friday.

The Bears are in 13th place in the men's standings after the first day of action with 36.5 team points.  The championship meet continues on Saturday and Sunday.

Tully tied for tenth in the 50 breaststroke (28.66 seconds).  He also helped the Bears' 200 freestyle relay (1:33.88) and 400 medley relay (3:55.62) post a ninth and 11th place showing, respectively.  Joining Tully on the 200 freestyle relay were  sophomores Erick DalMolin (Springfield, Mass.), Gerard Ferdinand (Stoneham, Mass.) and Matthew O'Brien (Whitman, Mass.).  Tully, Ferdinand, O'Brien and junior Sullivan Cohen (Bridgewater, Mass.) swam the 400 medley relay.
