Men's Swimming Falls to UMass Dartmouth, 156-93

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Senior captain Michael Crocker (Hanover, Mass.) won three events to lead the Bridgewater State University men's swimming and diving team at a dual meet hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday night.

Visiting Bridgewater dropped a 156-93 decision to UMass as the Bears fell to 0-3 in dual meet competition on the season.  The Corsairs improve to 2-1.

Crocker placed first in the 100-yard butterfly (58.07), 100 freestyle (52.50) and 50 butterfly (25.72) events.  He was the only three event winner at the meet.

Multiple event winners for UMass included freshman Christian Francia in the one-meter (211.25 pts) and three-meter diving (195.70 pts) events.  Freshman Eric Frohman won both the 50-yard backstroke in 28.35 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.61, The 200-yard medley relay team of Frohman, sophomore Matt Dean, and seniors David Adams and Craig Johnson was victorious in 1:48.00.

Both teams will return to action at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational this Saturday.
