BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State College men's & women's swimming and diving teams dropped a dual meet with Roger Williams University this afternoon in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The women's team lost by the score of 149-108, while the men's squad dropped a 133-107 decision to the Hawks.
Senior Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) notched three individual event wins for the visiting Bears. Morwick placed first in the 50 backstroke (:31.49), 200 butterfly (2:20.65) and 400 individual medley (4:58.12).
Freshman Loren Phinney (Holbrook, MA) continued her stellar rookie campaign as she posted a pair of first place finishes. Phinney won both the 1,000 freestyle (11:14.30) and 200 backstroke (2:22.06) races.
On the men's side, senior Mike Crocker (Hanover, MA) placed third in the 500 freestyle (6:43.59), while junior Trevor Tompkins (Florence, MA) finished third on the three-meter diving board with 137.63 points.
The BSCwomen's swimming and diving team is now 2-4 in meet competition this season while the men's team is 1-3.
