WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- The Bridgewater State College men's swimming & diving team finished in eighth place out of a 13-team field at the three-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont.
The Bears tallied 68 points over the course of the championship meet. Keene State College captured the title with 656 points followed by Bentley University with 555 and Roger Williams University with 478.
Two BSC swimmers and a relay team were in Sunday evening's finals.
Junior Matt Brown (Burlington, MA) finished tenth in the 100 individual medley (1:00.18), while senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) posted a 12th place finish in the 50 backstroke (:27.34).
The 400 freestyle relay team consisting of Brown, Herman and juniors Michael Crocker (Hanover, MA) and Ken Berardi (Hanover, MA)on, MA) finished tenth in the event with a time of 3:27.68.
