Men's Swim Team in 8th Place at NEISDA Championships

Day Two Results

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- The Bridgewater State College men's swimming & diving team is in eighth place in a 13-team field after the second day of action at the three-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont.

The Bears have tallied 54 points over the first two day's of events. Keene State is in first place with 466 points followed by Bentley University with 392 and Roger Williams University with 347.

One BSC swimmer and two relay teams were in Saturday evening's finals.

Senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) posted a tenth place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of :58.58.

The 200 medley relay team of Herman, fellow seniors Brendan Sullivan (Holyoke, MA) and Josh Sturges (Corpus Christi, TX), and junior Ken Berardi (Hanover, MA) placed ninth in the event with a time of 1:46.02.  The 800 freestyle relay team consisting of Berardi, Sullivan and juniors Matt Brown (Burlington, MA) and Michael Crocker (Hanover, MA) finished in eighth place with a time of 7:57.73.

The championship meet will conclude on Sunday.
