Swim Teams Drop Dual Meet Against Roger Williams

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The visiting Roger Williams University men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept a dual meet with Bridgewater State College this afternoon at the Mary Jo Moriarty Pool in Bridgewater.  

The Roger Williams women's squad won by a margin of 166-121, while the men's team prevailed, 173-108.  

The BSC women lost the meet despite winning eight of the 16 events with junior Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) pacing the Bears with three individual victories.  

Morwich placed first in the 1,000 freestyle (11:26.02), 200 butterfly (2:24.16) and 500 freestyle (5:36.47).  

The BSC men's team was led by senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) and sophomore diver Glenn Bergquist (Needham, MA).  Herman won both the 50 backstroke (:27.60) and 200 backstroke events (2:07.31), while Bergquist placed first in the one-meter (253.65 pts) and three-meter (264.75 pts) diving competions.  

The Bridgewater swim team are off until December 2nd when they travel to Gordon College for a 6:30 meet with the Fighting Scots.
