Morwick, Herman Lead Swim Teams at UMD Invitational

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The individual performances of junior Bryn Morwick (Indianapolis, IN) and senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) were the top highlights for the Bridgewater State College men's and women's swimming and diving teams at the UMass Dartmouth invitational on Saturday.

On the women's side Morwick placed first in three events during the non-scoring meet, while Herman won pair of events for the men.

Morwick took home top honors in the 1,650 freestyle (19:14.89), the 100 butterfly (1:05.59) and the 100 backstroke (1:09.04).  Herman finished first in the 50 backstroke (:27.85) and the 100 backstroke (:59.11).

Sophomore diver Glenn Bergquist (Needham, MA) was the only other BSC competitor to win an event as he placed first on the one-meter board with a score of 213.60.

Both BSC swimming and diving teams will be back in the pool on Wednesday as they travel to Clark University for a 6:30 meet with the Cougars.
