Men’s Swim Team Falls to UMass Dartmouth, 170-119

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Bridgewater State College men's swimming and diving team dropped a 170-119 decision to UMass Dartmouth this evening at the Tripp Athletic Center in North Dartmouth.

At the 16-event meet, the Bears (1-1) posted three first place finishes out of the first four events, but won just one race the rest of the way.  Along with their four wins, BSC placed second in eight events and third in four.

Senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) paced the Bears with a pair of victories in the 50 backstroke (:27.91) and 100 backstroke (:59.79).  Also winning events for Bridgewater were junior Stephen Diver (Brockton, MA) in the 1,000 freestyle (11:32.08) and freshman Andrew Bulger (Brewster, MA) in the 200 freestyle (2:08.83).

Bridgewater State (3-0) returns to UMass on Saturday as the Bears will compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
