Men's Swim Team Places 10th at NEISDA Championships

Day Three Results

BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State College men's swimming & diving team finished in tenth place out of a 13-team field at the three-day New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships held on the campus of Roger Williams University.

The Bears tallied 74 points over the course of the championship meet.  Keene State College captured the title with 629 points followed by Bentley University with 552 and host Roger Williams with 333.

Two BSC swimmers, a diver and a relay team were in Sunday evening's finals.

Sophomore diver Glenn Bergquist (Needham, MA) placed seventh on the three-meter board with a score of 342.00 points. Senior Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) posted a ninth place finish in the 50 backstroke with a time of :27.29, while sophomore Matt Brown (Burlington, MA) finished tenth in the 100 individual medley (:59.89). 

The 400 freestyle relay team consisting of Herman, senior Josh Sturges (Corpus Christi, TX), junior Stephen Diver (Brockton, MA) and sophomore Ken Berardi (Hanover, MA)on, MA) was tenth in the event with a time of 3:30.96.
