BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The Bridgewater State College men's swimming and diving team dropped a 168-100 decision to visiting Babson College this evening at the Mary Jo Moriarty Pool in Bridgewater.

Babson placed first in 11 of the first 14 events to come away with the victory.  The Beavers wrap up their dual meet schedule with a record of 4-10.  Bridgewater falls to 1-8 on the season in dual meet competition.

Freshman Tom Foutsitzis (Shrewsbury, MA) led the way for the visitors with two individual victories as well as helping the Beavers finish first in the 200 medley relay (1:45.06) and 200 freestyle relay (1:32.49). Foutsitzis placed first in both the 50 freestyle (:22.73) and 50 butterfly (:25.04) events. 

Junior Ted Plaisted (Mountain Lakes, NJ) also captured a pair of individual events in the 200 freestyle (1:55.37) and the 100 backstroke (:56.28).  Plaisted also joined Foutsitzis on the 200 freestyle relay squad.

Sophomore Glenn Bergquist (Needham, MA) won both diving events for the host Bears as he registered a score of 250.20 points on the one-meter board and 249.15 points on the three-meter. Junior Stephen Diver (Brockton, M A) also won an event for the Bears as placed first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:30.86.

The Bears wrap up the dual meet portion of their schedule with a home meet versus WPI on Saturday beginning at 2 PM.  Babson will compete in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships from February 27 to March 1 at Wheaton College.
