BSU Men's Soccer Standout Nicholas Keddie Runs the Boston Marathon

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University men's soccer standout Nicholas Keddie (Abington, Mass.) ran the Boston Marathon on Patriots Day.

Keddie, wearing bib number 28488, completed the 26.2 mile course in a time of 4:36.53.

Keddie, who starred on the BSU men's soccer team as a defender for the last three seasons, will be graduating next month with a degree in finance.

The Abington, Massachusetts native helped the Bears' compile an overall record of 37-21-5 (.627) during his tenure with the team, including an impressive 22-3-4 (.828) mark against Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) opponents.

Keddie was named to the All-MASCAC Team in each of his three seasons at Bridgewater State including first team honors in 2014 and 2015.  He played and started 62 games (missed just one due to injury) and registered six assists.

Bridgewater captured the MASCAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in both 2013 and 2015.
