Men's Soccer Blanked by Brandeis, 3-0, in ECAC Semifinals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The fourth seeded Brandeis Judges defeated top-seed Bridgewater State, 3-0, to advance to the ECAC Division III New England Men's Soccer Tournament championship match.

The Judges (11-7-1) will face the winner of the other semifinal match at noon on Sunday at Suprenant Field on the campus of Western New England College. The second semifinal of the day features host Western New England College and Salve Regina at 1:30 p.m.

Brandeis senior defender Matt Hohman (Weymouth, Mass.) gave the Judges a 1-0 lead at 39:39 as he blasted a shot in the top left corner; he was assisted by junior midfielder Evan Ersing (Beverly, Mass.).

Freshman midfielder Kyle Feather (Pinebrook, N.J.) stretched the lead to two at 52:21.

Sophomore midfielder Joe Eisenbies (Hingham, Mass.) added an insurance tally at 83:28 from freshman forward Nick George (Bangor, Maine).

Senior goalkeeper Taylor Bracken (North Andover, Mass.) made four saves to record the shutout in net.  Bridgewater State junior goalkeeper DJ Siewierski (Stow, Mass.) registered six saves.

Brandeis outshot Bridgewater by a margin of 17-8 including an 11-4 advantage in the second half.

Bridgewater State ends the season with a record of 13-6.
