BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior guard Precious Okoh has been named as a third team selection on the 2023-2024 D3hoops.com All-Region One Team.
A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Okoh averaged a team-leading 19.6 points in 16 games this season (11 starts) as well as 5.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals. He also shot 40.5% (113-279) from the field, 39.7% (48-121) from behind the arc and 72.7% (40-55) at the free throw line.
Okoh ranked third in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) in scoring, assists and three-point shooting percentage. He was also seventh among the conference leaders in minutes per game (31.1) and eighth in free throw percentage.
Last month, Okoh was named to the All-MASCAC First Team. He also earned MASCAC Player of the Week honors on February 5th.
In 28 career games with the Bears, Okoh averaged 20.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 44.5% (202-454) from the floor, 41.8% (81-194) from three-point range and 74.1% (80-108) at the free throw line.
The BSU men's basketball team wrapped up the 2023-2024 season with an overall record of 14-12 including a 9-3 mark in the MASCAC. Seeded second in the MASCAC Tournament, the Bears posted an 83-74 semifinal round win over #3 Westfield State before dropping a tough 80-679 decision in overtime to top-seeded Worcester State in the conference championship game.
