BRIDGEWATER, Mass.  --  Bridgewater State University junior guard Justin Clark (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) and junior forward Matt Daniels (Chelmsford, Mass.) have been named to the 2013-2014 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Courts which recognizes men's basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

A record number of 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities earned the distinction.  The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these student-athletes possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

In the classroom, Daniels currently sports a 3.52 grade point average (GPA) while Clark enters the 2014 fall semester with an equally impressive 3.51 GPA.  Both are majoring in Management.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior and a varsity player and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year.  Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution and the institution must be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II with a NABC member coach.

In 62 games over three seasons with the BSU men's basketball team, Clark has amassed 294 points, 117 rebounds, 126 assists and 49 steals.  Last year, he started all 28 games at points guard for the MASCAC Tournament Champion Bears as he averaged 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 35% (37-105) from three-point range.  Daniels appeared in four games off the bench in his second season with the squad.
