BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University men's basketball standout Corey Connor was selected to play on the inaugural D3hoops.com All-Star Team which just recently completed a nine-day, two-city, four-game international tour.

The nine-player team visited the world-class cities of London, England and Paris, France before coming back to the States on May 30. The trip, co-sponsored and directed by Sport Tours International, provided a great opportunity for the Division III hoops players to showcase their talent on an international level.

The team, coached by long-time veteran head coach Bob Gillespie of Ripon, featured some of the best players from all over the country. The group left New York City on May 21 and spent five days in London before taking the ferry across the English Channel to France. The team was bused to Paris and spent three days there before heading back to New York on the 30th. The team played three games vs. local club and semi-pro teams in London before playing one time in Paris.

In addition to basketball, the group toured historic and royal London, took a boat trip on the River Thames, toured Wembley Stadium, attended Shakespeare's Globe Theatre as well as an English Premier League Soccer match, among other highlights. In Paris the group embarked on a guided bus tour of the city, visited a U.S. Marine Cemetery, World War II battleground, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Avenue des Champs-Elysees.

A member of the 2010-2011 D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region Fourth Team, Connor averaged 13.4 points a game this past season while shooting 92% (43-47) from the free throw line, 50% (128-256) from the floor and 48% (89-185) from behind the arc. The Providence, Rhode Island native set the Bears' single-season marks for made three-pointers and three-point field goal percentage.

Connor led the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and ranked fourth in all of Division III in three-point shooting.  He also ranked first in the MASCAC in made trifectas as well as seventh in scoring and ninth in field goal percentage.

In 85 games over three seasons with the Bears, Connor registered 880 points for an average of 10.4 per game.  He leaves Bridgewater State as the program's all-time leading three-point shooter with a career percentage of .430 (197-458).

The 2010-2011 Bridgewater State men's basketball team captured the MASCAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third straight season.  The Bears dropped a 58-57 decision to WPI in tournament first round play.
