BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University junior placekicker Russell Bolarinho has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Special Teams Player of the Week.

Bolarinho, who hails from Acushnet, Massachusetts, accounted for seven points as he kicked a 25-yard field goal and converted 4-of-5 extra points in the Bears' 37-14 Cranberry Bowl victory over Massachusetts Maritime academy.

With the win, Bridgewater earned an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Tournament as the Bears will be making their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2012.

In nine games this season, Bolarinho has converted 26 of 32 PATs and is 2-for-3 in field goal attempts. He also booted a 27-yard field goal in the Bears' 29-23 Homecoming win in double overtime over Plymouth State University back on October 15th.

Bolarinho ranks third in the MASCAC in made extra points and is fifth in PAT percentage (.813). He is also fourth among kickers in scoring with 32 points.
