BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior right guard Ty McGrath has been named as a second team selection on the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Football North All-Star Team.

McGrath anchored an outstanding BSU offensive line which paved the way for 4,676 yards of total offense in eleven games this past season including 2,139 through the air and 2,537 on the ground. The o-line allowed just 15 sacks, while the team averaged 32.3 points per game.

The Bears' offense ranked 33rd in all of Division III in rushing offense (230.6 ypg), 19th in fourth down conversion percentage (.645) and 37th in average time of possession (32:31).

The 2015 BSU football team posted an overall record of 7-4 and finished tied for second in the MASCAC standings with a 6-2 conference mark. The Bears made the program's tenth postseason appearance, and first since 2012, falling to Carnegie Mellon University in the ECAC Legacy Bowl.

In November, McGrath was one of ten Bears named to the All-MASCAC Team as he garnered first team honors.
