WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State Bears have claimed the Week 11 and final Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Fan Play of the Week award.
The Bears squeaked out a victory over runner-up Western Connecticut State with 40 percent of the vote over the Colonials' 34 percent. Massachusetts Maritime and Plymouth State were the other top play nominees.
In this week's winning play, freshman back Alex McLaughlin (Littleton, Mass.) takes the snap, fakes the hand off then weaves through Massachusetts Maritime defenders to take the ball 59 yards for the touchdown. Video of the play can be seen below.
