Randy Frazier Named MASCAC Baseball Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior third baseman Randy Frazier has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week.

A native of Wareham, Massachusetts, Frazier batted .533 (8-15) in four games last week in Vero Beach, Florida with two doubles, a triple, a stolen base, eight runs batted in and five runs scored. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch as he posted a .579 on base percentage as well as a .800 slugging percentage.

Frazier went 6-for-10 with two doubles, a triple, four runs and seven RBI in a season-opening doubleheader split with The Apprentice School. He also went 2-for-7 with a walk, stolen base, a run and an RBI in a doubleheader split with Hilbert College.

In 44 games over three seasons with the Bears, Frazier has a career batting average of .328 (41-125) with seven doubles, three triples, 19 runs scored and 23 RBI.

The BSU baseball team is currently 2-2 on the young season. The Bears take on Eastern Nazarene College in a pair of games on Tuesday starting at 11:00 AM in Vero Beach.
