VERO BEACH, Fla. -- The Bridgewater State University baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Delaware Valley University on Wednesday in Vero Beach, Florida.

Senior center fielder Kyle Wenger (Souderton, Pa.) hit for the cycle to lead the way for the Aggies (3-2).

Wenger doubled in his first at bat and connected for an RBI triple in third. He homered in the fifth to knot the score at 2-2.

Wegner completed the cycle with a base hit in the seventh. After stealing second, Wegner came around to score the go ahead run on an RBI single off the bat of junior catcher Sammy Amos (Wenonah, N.J.).

Amos finished 3-for-4 at the plate.

The Bears pushed across a pair of runs in the top of the first, but were kept off the scoreboard over the last eight innings.

In the first, Bridgewater loaded the bases with one out on a single by junior center fielder Ryan Kelleher (Danvers, Mass.), a double by senior shortstop Ryan Feeney (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and a walk to junior first baseman Reed Pike (Bellingham, Mass.).

Kelleher raced home when junior designated hitter Tyler Morini (Plymouth, Mass.) reached on an error, and Feeney crossed the plate on Randy Frazier's (Wareham, Mass.) RBI ground out.

Morini finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles and a walk, while Kelleher went 2-for-5.

Sophomore right-hander Justin Jacobsen (Fairhaven, Mass.) got the start on the mound for the Bears. Jacobsen allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits with no walks and a pair of strikeouts.

Junior reliever Mike Nader (Hollywood, Fla.) was saddled with the loss as he worked the last three innings. Nader (0-2) gave up a run on three hits and a walk with a pair of strikeouts.

Sophomore Josh Morgan (Lumberton, N.J.) hurled the final two shutout innings to record the win for the Delaware Valley. Morgan (1-1) worked around a leadoff single in the eighth and got out of a jam in the ninth to end the game. The Bears had runners on first and second with nobody out in the final frame but were unable to score.

The Bears (2-5) take on Wilkes University tomorrow morning at ten before wrapping up their nine-game Florida trip on Friday morning at 9:30 against SUNY Maritime.
