Travis Ritchie Named to All-MASCAC Baseball Team

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior centerfielder Travis Ritchie has been named as a second team selection on the 2015 All-MASCAC Baseball Team which was announced today by the league’s Director of Media Relations, Emily Diekelmann.

Ritchie batted .343 (34-for-99) over 27 games in his first season for the Bears. The Taunton, Massachusetts product notched four doubles, a pair of triples and seven stolen bases while scoring 20 runs and driving in seven. He also produced a .424 on base percentage as well as a .414 slugging percentage.

Ritchie led Bridgewater State in batting average, hits, triples, runs, slugging percentage and stolen bases. He is currently tied for fourth in the MASCAC in triples and ranks 11th in batting and 12th in on base percentage.

The 2015 BSU baseball team posted an overall record of 8-21 including a 5-9 MASCAC mark. The Bears finished tied for sixth place in the conference standings.
