Richard Roath

Richard Roath played football for four seasons and baseball for two seasons at Bridgewater State. Football was where he excelled at wide receiver. He is BSC's second all-time leading receiver with 105 receptions for 1616 yards and 8 touchdowns. He was named to the NEFC All Star team in 1970 and 1971, having been named MVP in '71. In 1972 he graduated from BSC with a BA in History. In 1983, Rich graduated from Luther Rice Seminary with a M.Ed in Religion. Subsequently, he became a minister in Ocala, Florida as well as a history teacher at Belleview Middle School. He has also coached boys varsity high school soccer over the years.

He and his wife Dale are the proud parents of three daughters (Melissa, Kelly, Kristy) and one son (Justin). They live in Ocala, FL.
