Paula Stockus Miller

Paula Stockus Miller was an outstanding swimmer In the early 1970s at Bridgewater State College. In her senior year, Paula was ranked 13th in the NCAA in both the 50 and 100 freestyle. At the time of her induction, she held the Bears' school records in both the 100 freestyle and the 200 freestyle. Both marks have since been broken.

Following her collegiate career at Bridgewater, Paula went on to teach and coach swimming at Indiana State University (1973-74), the University of Arkansas (1974-76), Springfield College (1976-78), and California State University (1978-84). Since 1984, she has been at Ithaca College where she has been both the men's (1984-87) and women's (1984-2003) swim coach. During her tenure there, she coached 33 All Americans and was named the NCAA Division III "Coach of the Year" in 1988. A native of Canton, MA, Paula now lives with her family in Ithaca, NY.
